Upcoming in 2010

July 16 (Friday, 8:00 p.m.): Matching Orange opens for Jack Williams at The Minstrel Coffeehouse (run by The Folk Project).  Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road, Morristown, NJ.  Admission $7.

July 17 (Saturday, 8:00-11:00 p.m.): Matching Orange plays the Folk Project's Swingin' Tern Contra Dance, with Marguerite Durant calling.  Optional beginner's workshop at 7:30 p.m.  The First Presbyterian Church, 14 Hanover Road, East Hanover, NJ.  Admission $10, and $5 for students with ID.

July 21-25 (Wednesday-Sunday): Eric performs with fiddler Elly Marshall at the 16th Annual Festival Mémoire et Racines at 11:00 a.m. Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday.  Joliette, Québec, Canada.  Festival lineup includes many fantastic bands and musicians, including Genticorum, Donna Hébert, Raz-de-Marée (Tidal Wave), and countless others!  There is lots of great jamming there, too!  Ticket information is available on the festival web site.

July 31 (Saturday, 8:00-11:00 p.m.): Eric plays a square and contra dance at the Concord Scout House with Debby Knight (fiddle), and Walter Lenk (mandocello), with Bob Golder calling.  74 Walden Street, Concord, MA.  Admission $8, and $6 for teens.

August 2 (Monday, 7:30-10:30 p.m.): Matching Orange plays the Monday Night Contra Dance at the Concord Scout House.  74 Walden Street, Concord, MA.  Admission $8, and $5 for people 22 and under.

August 6 (Friday, 8:00-11:00 p.m.): Matching Orange plays the Belfast Flying Shoe's Contra Dance, with Chrissy Fowler calling.  Before Matching Orange plays, the all-comers band (open to all musicians) plays for a community dance from 6:30-7:30 p.m., followed by a Tasty Treat Potluck (sweet or savory) at 7:30 p.m.  Frank D. Hazeltine American Legion Post 43, 143 Church Street, Belfast, ME.  Admission $8, and $6 for teens and those at the community dance.

August 20 (Friday, 8:00-11:00 p.m.): Eric plays the 3rd Friday Contra Dance in Greenfield with fiddlers Ron Grosslein (from the bands Swallowtail and The Moving Violations) and a Amy Cann.  George Marshall will be calling.  Guiding Star Grange, 401 Chapman Street, Greenfield, MA.  Admission $8-10.

October 9 (Saturday, 8:00-11:00 p.m.): Matching Orange plays the Hartford/Wethersfield Contra Dance, with caller TBA.  Optional beginner's workshop at 7:30 p.m.  American Legion Post, 275 Main Street, Wethersfield, CT.  Admission $12, $10 for Hartford Community Dance members, $5 for teens and college students, and free for children 12 and under.

October 11 (Monday, Columbus Day, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.): Eric, Dave Reiner (fiddle, mandolin), and Paul Harty (guitar, mandolin, vocals, harmonica) play at the Buell's Orchard Fall Festival.  Fun for the whole family including live music, hay rides, apple picking, a barbeque, and the opportunity to see the orchard's apple cider press and candy apple factory.  108 Crystal Pond Road, Eastford, CT.

November 13 (Friday, time TBA): Eric plays with many others at a concert marking the beginning of the weekend-long Fiddle Hell event.  Further details coming soon.  The Old Groton Grill, Inn, and Tavern, 128 Main Street (Route 119), Groton, MA.

November 14 (Saturday, all day): Eric plays for various workshops/sessions at Fiddle Hell.  Further details coming soon.  The Old Groton Grill, Inn, and Tavern, 128 Main Street (Route 119), Groton, MA.

November 20 (Saturday, 8:00-11:00 p.m.): Matching Orange plays the Montpelier Contra Dance, with caller TBA.  Northfield Road (Highway 12), Montpelier (1/2 mile south of Montpelier), VT.  Admission $8.

November 27 (Saturday, 8:00 p.m.): Matching Orange performs at the Elysium Arts Folk Club -- a really wonderful place to relax and listen to music.  3 Front Street, Lower Mill at Salmon Falls, Rollinsford, NH.  Admission $15, and $5 for kids.

Upcoming in 2011

January 22 (Saturday, 8:00-11:00 p.m.): Matching Orange plays the Mystic Contra Dance, with caller TBA.  Upstairs at 58 Greenmanville Avenue, Mystic, CT.  Optional beginner's workshop at 7:45 p.m.  Admission $8, $5 for students, and $2 for kids under 12.

February 25 (Friday, 8:00 p.m.): Matching Orange opens for The Clancy Legacy at The Me and Thee Coffeehouse.  28 Mugford Street, Marblehead, MA.  Admission TBA.
